Biography

I am Kathirgarmathamby Krishnaraj. Currently, I am a Lecturer in Sociology and Anthropology at the Department of Social Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Culture, Eastern University. Previously, worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences, Eastern University and the Department of Sociology, University of Colombo. I graduated in Sociology and Anthropology from Eastern University and have also completed a Master's Degree in Conflict, Peace and Development Studies at Tribhuwan University, Nepal. Also, now I am reading my PhD in Anthropology at Deakin University, Australia. My Research interests revolve around Religion, Social Formation, Post-war Development, conflict and Peace studies, Social Change and Socialization and Social Issues.

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successfully completed the short course on Diaspora, Migration and Development Paradigms’ on November 1-4, 2018, conducted by the Centre for Poverty Analysis (CEPA)
  • Successfully completed ‘English for academic Purpose’ in 2017 at Deakin University, Australia.
  • Successfully completed Introduction Training program on NVIVO Qualitative analysis software, in 2018, At Deakin University, Australia.
  • 2010: Successfully completed 6-day IHEA training programme Conducted by Save the children, Batticaloa
